Luxury Morocco Tour Packages: Private & Tailor Made Luxury Journeys Book Sahara Desert Tours Morocco from Marrakech

The Sahara Desert is the single most transformative experience Morocco offers. Nothing else in the country compares to riding a camel into the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset, watching the light shift from gold to copper to red across the dune field, and arriving at a private desert camp as the first stars appear overhead. Moreover, nothing prepares you for the silence of the Sahara at night or the extraordinary quality of the dawn light before the rest of the camp wakes.

At Tilila Travel, our Sahara Desert tours from Marrakech operate as fully private journeys. Your own vehicle carries only your group. Your dedicated driver stays with you throughout the complete tour. The desert camp accommodates your group privately rather than in a shared arrangement with other travelers. Furthermore, every element of the route from Marrakech to the Sahara Desert, including the Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, the Dades Valley, the Todra Gorge, and the Ziz Valley, reflects your preferences rather than a fixed group schedule.

This page covers all our Sahara Desert tour options from Marrakech: the 3 day, 4 day, 5 day, and longer private desert tours, the full route from Marrakech to Merzouga, what the Sahara Desert experience includes, the luxury desert camp options, the return routes, the pricing factors, and the answers to the questions most travelers ask before booking. When you are ready to start planning, visit our Sahara Desert tours Morocco Marrakech page or contact us through the Tilila Travel contact page.

Every traveler wants something a little different — that's exactly how we plan.

Tell us how much time you have, where you're starting from, and what draws you to Chefchaouen — the mountains, the photography, the quiet, the handicrafts, or simply a break from the bigger cities. We'll build a private itinerary around that, from your arrival to your final transfer.

Sahara Desert Tours from Marrakech

Private Desert Tours for Every Duration

Tilila Travel offers Sahara Desert tours from Marrakech across multiple durations, from focused 3 day desert experiences to comprehensive 10 day Morocco circuits that include the Sahara as the centerpiece of a longer private journey. Every tour operates privately. Your vehicle carries only your group. Your driver guide stays with you throughout. Consequently, the experience differs fundamentally from any shared group departure regardless of which duration you choose.

The Journey From Marrakech to Erg Chebbi

The drive from Marrakech to Merzouga covers approximately 560 kilometres and rewards spreading across two days. The outward route passes through the High Atlas Mountains over the Tizi n Tichka pass at 2,260 metres, descends to the ancient kasbah landscape south of the Atlas, continues through Ouarzazate and the Dades Valley, crosses the Todra Gorge, and arrives at Merzouga from the west. Every section of this route provides worthwhile scenery and historical stops. As a result, treating the drive as the beginning of the desert experience rather than a transfer to get through makes the entire tour significantly more rewarding.

Erg Chebbi and the Golden Dunes

Merzouga sits at the edge of Erg Chebbi, a sea of golden sand dunes rising up to 150 metres above the surrounding desert plain. The dunes change colour continuously across the day, moving from pale gold in the morning to deep amber and orange at midday to burning red and copper at sunset. At night, the sky above Erg Chebbi carries more stars than most travelers have ever seen in one place. Two nights at the desert camp gives you both sunsets and both sunrises, the complete stargazing experience, and a full activities day that one night cannot accommodate.

Our Sahara Desert Tour Options from Marrakech

3 Day Desert Tour from Marrakech

The 3 day private Sahara Desert tour from Marrakech covers the essential southern Morocco route in the most efficient timeframe. Begin your journey in Marrakech before crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass and stopping at Kasbah Telouet. From there, continue to Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate for an evening immersed in Morocco’s rich landscapes and heritage. The following day leads through the Dades Valley and Todra Gorge, culminating in Merzouga with a sunset camel trek and your first night at a desert camp. Wake to a spectacular Sahara sunrise on the final morning, then head back to Marrakech via the original route or an alternative journey through the Draa Valley.

This option suits travelers with limited time who specifically want the Sahara Desert experience without a longer Morocco journey. It covers the most significant highlights of the southern route efficiently without sacrificing the desert camp overnight. Our 3 days desert tour from Marrakech to Fes page covers the 3 day option with a Fes conclusion for travelers flying out of Fes rather than returning to Marrakech.

4 Day Sahara Desert Tour from Marrakech

The 4 day private Sahara Desert tour from Marrakech provides meaningfully more time than the 3 day option. The additional day adds either a second night at the Erg Chebbi desert camp for the full Sahara experience across two sunsets and two sunrises, or a more relaxed pace through the southern kasbah route with longer stop times at Ait Ben Haddou, the Skoura oasis, and the Todra Gorge. Either configuration makes the 4 day tour substantially more satisfying than the 3 day for most travelers. Our private 4 day Sahara Desert tour from Marrakech page covers this option in full detail.

5 Day Morocco Desert Tour from Marrakech

Five days allows both a more relaxed southern route and two nights at the Sahara desert camp. The first day explores the Atlas Mountains and Ait Ben Haddou. On day two, discover the Skoura Oasis, the Valley of Roses, and the Dades Valley. The journey continues on day three with a visit to Todra Gorge before arriving in Merzouga for the first desert sunset. A full day of Sahara activities follows on day four, along with a second night at the desert camp. Day five begins with a spectacular sunrise, followed by the return drive to Marrakech through the Draa Valley and Ouarzazate. Our 5 days desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga page covers this five day framework in detail.

8 Day Morocco Desert Tour from Marrakech

Eight days extends the Sahara circuit to include Fes after Merzouga, giving you both the iconic Sahara Desert experience and the most culturally significant imperial city in Morocco within a single private tour. After two nights at the Erg Chebbi desert camp, the route continues north through the Ziz Valley and the Middle Atlas to Fes for two full days with a licensed medina guide. This eight day circuit covers Morocco’s most remarkable natural and cultural experiences without rushing either. Our best 8 day desert tour from Marrakech page covers this option in detail.

10 Day Sahara and Imperial Cities Tour

Ten days provides the complete Morocco experience from Marrakech: the High Atlas and southern kasbahs, two nights in the Sahara Desert, two full days in Fes, and Chefchaouen in the northern Rif Mountains before returning south. This is the most comprehensive Morocco private tour available within ten days and covers every major landscape and cultural category the country offers. Additionally, the pace allows genuine depth at each destination rather than rushed monument visits. Our Morocco 10 days tour from Casablanca page shows a Casablanca departure variant of this framework.

Longer Sahara Desert Tours

Our 12, 14, and 15 day private Morocco tours all include the Sahara Desert as a central component alongside the Atlantic coast, the Rif Mountains, Rabat, and Casablanca. These longer itineraries suit travelers who want to experience Morocco comprehensively rather than selectively. Browse our Morocco multi day tours page for the full range of durations with current pricing.

The Sahara Desert Experience at Erg Chebbi

Sunset Camel Trek

Your private sunset camel trek departs from the Erg Chebbi camp edge approximately one hour before sunset. The forty five minute trek on camelback moves into the dune interior away from any other group tracks. As you progress deeper into the desert, the silence becomes absolute and the dunes change colour continuously from warm gold to deep amber and copper as the sun descends. This is the experience that most travelers describe first when they talk about their Morocco desert tour afterward.

Private Desert Camp

Your luxury private desert camp at Erg Chebbi places tents within the dune field rather than at its edge. En suite bathroom facilities within the tent include hot water, a toilet, and a shower. Premium bedding, lantern lighting, and a dedicated service team create an atmosphere of genuine luxury within the desert setting. The difference between a standard camp and a luxury private camp is significant. A private camp positions your group away from other guests rather than in a shared communal camp arrangement.

Sahara Sunrise

Waking before dawn at the desert camp is one of the most rewarding decisions any Morocco traveler makes. The Sahara sunrise develops slowly over twenty minutes, transitioning from deep purple to rose to gold as the sun clears the Erg Chebbi dune crest. The desert is completely silent at this hour. Most travelers who experience the Sahara sunrise agree that it surpasses even the famous sunset in its emotional impact. On a two night stay, you experience this moment twice without any rush to pack and depart.

4×4 Desert Excursion

A private 4×4 dune excursion takes your group into the deeper sections of Erg Chebbi away from the main tourist tracks. The excursion covers terrain inaccessible on foot or by camel and provides a different perspective on the scale and variety of the dune field. Additionally, sandboarding on the steep dune faces provides the most physically active optional activity during the Merzouga stay.

Desert Dinner and Amazigh Music

Desert camp dinner features traditional Moroccan cuisine followed by Gnawa and Amazigh music around the campfire. The music session reflects genuine cultural traditions rather than a staged tourist performance. Guests can participate in the percussion sections, ask questions about the music’s origins, or simply sit and listen under the desert stars. The session typically runs for an hour or more depending on the group’s engagement.

Sahara Stargazing

The Erg Chebbi area sits far from any significant light pollution. On a clear night, the Milky Way appears as a defined band visible to the naked eye. Planets, meteor showers, and satellite tracks appear regularly. The desert camp team shares Amazigh astronomical traditions during the stargazing period after the campfire session. This is one of the most frequently mentioned highlights in reviews of Morocco private desert tours.

Amazigh Village and Cultural Visit

An Amazigh nomad community visit near Merzouga provides genuine cultural context for the nomadic traditions and the desert landscape surrounding the Erg Chebbi camp. This visit typically takes two hours and includes tea with a local family, an explanation of traditional desert crafts, and an opportunity to see the tools and equipment of desert life that most tourists never access through standard tour arrangements.

The Route from Marrakech to the Sahara Desert

Marrakech and the High Atlas Mountains

Every Sahara Desert tour from Marrakech begins by heading south. Within thirty minutes of leaving the city, the landscape changes completely as the road starts climbing toward the High Atlas. The Tizi n Tichka pass at 2,260 metres provides some of the most dramatic driving scenery in Morocco. Snow covers the upper peaks in winter and spring. Amazigh villages cling to the mountainsides above hairpin bends. The descent toward the south opens onto a completely different landscape: red and ochre, ancient and dry, dramatically different from the Marrakech plains.

Kasbah Telouet

Just off the main pass road, Kasbah Telouet sits in the Ounila Valley as one of Morocco’s most atmospheric and undervisited historical sites. The enormous kasbah preserves carved cedar ceilings, zellige tilework, and painted plasterwork from the early 20th century within largely unrestored rooms that most group tours skip entirely because they require a small detour. A private Sahara Desert tour from Marrakech includes this stop as standard rather than treating it as an optional extra.

Ait Ben Haddou

Below Kasbah Telouet, the route descends to the Ounila River and the UNESCO World Heritage ksar of Ait Ben Haddou. This ancient fortified village of compressed earth rises above the river in a series of terraced towers that have appeared in dozens of international film productions. A private desert tour allocates genuine time here, between one and two hours, rather than the rushed forty five minute stop that most group tours provide.

Ouarzazate and the Southern Kasbahs

Ouarzazate provides a comfortable overnight base between the Atlas crossing and the eastern desert route. Known as Morocco’s Hollywood for its major film studio history, the city also contains the Kasbah Taourirt, which rewards a morning visit before departing east. East of Ouarzazate, the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs takes you through the Skoura palm oasis and the Valley of Roses near Kelaat Mgouna before arriving in the Dades Valley.

Dades Valley

The Dades Valley follows the Dades River east through palm groves, ancient pisé kasbahs, and increasingly dramatic canyon terrain. The Dades Gorge at the eastern end of the valley narrows sharply with road switchbacks climbing above the canyon floor. Late afternoon light in the Dades Valley produces exceptional photography conditions for the kasbahs visible on the cliff edges above. This overnight stop on the southern route gives you time to walk the gorge before the following morning’s drive east to the Todra.

Todra Gorge

The Todra Gorge is the most dramatic natural moment of the southern Morocco route before the Sahara Desert itself. Canyon walls rise 300 metres above a river passage that narrows to ten metres at its tightest point. Walking through the lower gorge on foot gives a scale and silence that no vehicle conveys. A private Morocco desert tour builds genuine walking time into the Todra stop rather than treating it as a roadside viewpoint. Our Morocco multi day tours from Marrakech page covers all Marrakech departure options including the Todra Gorge routing.

Erfoud and Rissani

East of the Todra Gorge, the landscape opens progressively into pre desert terrain. Erfoud is known for its fossil marble workshops where ancient marine fossils appear in decorative stone. Rissani was the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty and carries historical significance beyond its current size. Both towns provide genuine local Moroccan market culture far removed from the tourist infrastructure of Marrakech.

Merzouga and Erg Chebbi

Merzouga appears at the foot of Erg Chebbi after the desert plain has been building for several kilometres. The arrival is consistently the most dramatic destination reveal of any Morocco private tour. Golden dunes rise to 150 metres above the surrounding flat terrain. The colour and scale of the dune field exceed most travelers’ expectations regardless of how many photographs they have seen beforehand. Your camel guide meets you at the camp edge for the sunset trek within an hour of arrival.

Return Routes from the Sahara Desert

Return via the Draa Valley

The Draa Valley provides a completely different return route from Merzouga back toward Marrakech. Rather than retracing the outward road through the Todra Gorge and Dades Valley, the Draa Valley route takes you southwest through Alnif, Tazzarine, and the longest palm grove corridor in Morocco before arriving at Ouarzazate from the east. This alternative return ensures you see entirely new landscapes on the way back rather than repeating the outward scenery. Additionally, the Draa Valley route passes through ancient ksour and Amazigh villages that carry their own historical character.

Return via Fes and the Imperial Cities

Some travelers choose to continue north from Merzouga rather than returning directly to Marrakech. The Fes continuation takes you north through the Ziz Valley, the Midelt Middle Atlas, and the cedar forests of Azrou before arriving in Fes. This extension transforms a focused Sahara Desert tour into a broader Morocco private tour covering the country’s two most significant cultural cities alongside its iconic natural landscape. Travelers flying out of Fes choose this routing naturally.

Return via Chefchaouen

Extending further north after Fes to include Chefchaouen adds the Blue City of the Rif Mountains to the itinerary. This option works best on 10 day or longer private Sahara tours from Marrakech where the additional driving time does not compress the desert or city sections. Our Chefchaouen tailor made Morocco experiences page covers the Chefchaouen component in detail.

Luxury Accommodation on Your Desert Tour

Luxury Riads in Marrakech

Experience authentic Moroccan hospitality in a luxury riad within the Marrakech medina. These beautifully designed traditional homes offer an intimate and comfortable stay, making them an ideal choice before or after your Sahara Desert tour from Marrakech.A five star riad places you inside the ancient city with a private rooftop terrace, a courtyard plunge pool, and an elaborate Moroccan breakfast. We select Marrakech luxury riads based on location, character, and service standard rather than generic availability.

Boutique Kasbahs and Guesthouses

Along the southern route through Ouarzazate, the Dades Valley, and the Todra Gorge, we select characterful boutique kasbahs and guesthouses that reflect their landscape and region. These properties consistently provide more character and more personal service than chain hotels at the same location. Furthermore, their rooftop terraces overlooking the canyon or kasbah landscape provide dinner settings that no restaurant can replicate.

Luxury Desert Camp in Merzouga

Your Erg Chebbi luxury desert camp provides the en suite tent accommodation, dedicated service team, and private placement within the dune field that define the luxury Sahara experience. The difference between a standard camp and a luxury private camp is worth understanding before booking. A standard camp provides the desert atmosphere with basic shared facilities. A luxury private camp provides en suite facilities within the tent, premium bedding, lantern lighting, and a private positioning away from other guest groups. Our luxury Sahara desert tours page covers the desert camp options in full detail.

Riads in Fes

For tours that continue to Fes after the Sahara, luxury riads within or adjacent to the Fes el Bali medina provide the most authentic Fes accommodation experience. Staying within or near the medina means experiencing the city’s early morning atmosphere and evening lamp lighting as natural elements of your stay rather than sounds heard from a modern hotel outside the walls.

Private Transportation for Your Sahara Tour

Toyota Land Cruiser

The Toyota Land Cruiser handles Morocco’s most demanding road conditions with equal competence across the Tizi n Tichka mountain pass, the canyon roads near Todra, and the final desert approaches near Merzouga. For couples and small groups of up to five, the Land Cruiser is the most popular vehicle choice for Sahara Desert tours from Marrakech. Furthermore, the luggage space accommodates generous amounts of baggage without compromising passenger seating.

Toyota Prado

The Toyota Prado provides the same 4×4 capability as the Land Cruiser in a slightly more compact format. For couples who prefer a lower vehicle profile on the urban sections of the tour, the Prado offers the same quality experience throughout the entire Marrakech to Sahara route.

Mercedes V Class

The Mercedes V Class suits families and small groups of up to seven passengers who prioritize cabin comfort. The V Class provides a higher interior finish than a standard SUV and suits luxury travelers for whom vehicle quality matters as a daily experience throughout the driving days of a Sahara tour.

Mercedes Sprinter

Groups of eight or more travel in a private Mercedes Sprinter. The Sprinter carries the full group in a single vehicle, eliminating the coordination complexity of multiple smaller bookings. Private Sahara Desert tours with the Sprinter operate at the same service standard as smaller vehicle bookings. Visit our Morocco tours with private driver page for full fleet details by group size.

Sahara Desert Tours for Couples, Families, and Groups

Couples Sahara Desert Tours

Couples consistently describe the Sahara Desert experience as the most romantic moment of their Morocco visit. The private sunset camel trek, the luxury desert camp, the candlelit desert dinner option, and the Sahara sunrise together create a shared experience that most other destinations cannot match. Our honeymoon travel Morocco page covers the romantic additions available within any Sahara Desert tour framework.

Family Sahara Desert Tours

Families with children enjoy the Sahara Desert tour experience exceptionally well. Children aged six and above manage the camel trek without difficulty. Sandboarding engages all ages. The desert camp campfire and music session creates a shared family memory that no hotel stay replicates. The private vehicle adapts each day’s pace to the family’s collective energy level. Our private family Morocco tours from Marrakech to Merzouga page addresses family specific planning considerations in detail.

Small Group Sahara Desert Tours

Groups of friends traveling together do best with a private Sahara Desert tour from Marrakech. A private vehicle carries the entire group throughout every driving day. The schedule suits everyone simultaneously. Furthermore, per person costs drop considerably as group size increases, making a private group Sahara tour frequently more competitive in cost than individual bookings on shared group departures. Our Morocco group tours page covers group specific options in additional detail.

Senior Sahara Tours

Senior travelers benefit from the private format on any Morocco Sahara Desert tour. Longer stop durations, fewer driving hours per day, and accommodation with accessible room options where needed all apply naturally when the schedule belongs to your group alone. Additionally, the camel trek can be shortened or replaced with a 4×4 desert excursion for travelers who prefer not to ride. Our tailor made senior Morocco tours page covers senior specific planning in detail.

How Much Does a Sahara Desert Tour from Marrakech Cost?

Tour Duration

Duration is the primary cost factor for private Sahara Desert tours from Marrakech. A 3 day private tour costs less than a 5 day tour, which costs less than a 10 day circuit including Fes and Chefchaouen. Each additional day adds accommodation, the driver’s daily rate, fuel, and any applicable guide fees to the total.

Group Size

Per person costs drop considerably as group size increases. Two people share the vehicle cost two ways. Four people share the same cost four ways. Consequently, per person costs at group sizes of four or more often compare directly with shared group tour pricing while providing the completely private format.

Accommodation Level

Budget guesthouses along the route cost significantly less than boutique kasbahs and four star hotels. Similarly, a standard desert camp tent costs less than a luxury private en suite desert tent. We offer accommodation at every level from comfortable to exceptional and the total tour price reflects your accommodation choices directly.

Desert Camp Category

The desert camp choice often represents the most important accommodation decision on the entire Sahara Desert tour from Marrakech. Understanding the difference between standard and luxury camp options before booking ensures your expectations align with what you book. Contact us through the Tilila Travel contact page for specific pricing based on your group size, preferred tour duration, and desert camp category.

Best Time for a Sahara Desert Tour from Marrakech

Spring

March to May provides the best overall conditions for a Sahara Desert tour from Marrakech. Atlas Mountain temperatures are comfortable for the high pass crossing. The Valley of Roses blooms through April and early May. The Sahara Desert is warm rather than hot, making the camel trek and outdoor camp activities genuinely enjoyable. Furthermore, spring light on the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset provides exceptional photography conditions.

Autumn

September to November mirrors spring in quality. Summer heat softens from September onward into ideal temperatures for every section of the route. October suits the Sahara experience particularly well, as the desert nights cool to a comfortable temperature for outdoor dining and stargazing. Additionally, autumn brings fewer travelers to Erg Chebbi, which improves the sense of desert solitude.

Summer

June to August brings intense heat to the Marrakech to Merzouga route. Desert temperatures regularly exceed 40 degrees in July and August. Nevertheless, summer travelers committed to the Sahara should plan all outdoor activities exclusively for early morning or late afternoon. The desert camp experience remains manageable because nights cool dramatically even in summer.

Winter

December to February suits the Sahara Desert and Marrakech well in terms of daytime temperatures. Winter desert nights drop significantly, which adds to the luxury camp atmosphere rather than detracting from it. However, the High Atlas pass crossing and the Todra Gorge can be cold in January and February. Warm layers are essential for both the mountain and desert sections of any winter Sahara Desert tour from Marrakech.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the drive from Marrakech to the Sahara Desert?

The drive from Marrakech to Merzouga covers approximately 560 kilometres. The direct drive takes 7 to 8 hours without stops. Most private Sahara Desert tours from Marrakech spread this journey across two days to include worthwhile stops at Ait Ben Haddou, the Dades Valley, and the Todra Gorge.

How many nights should I spend in the Sahara?

Two nights gives you the complete experience: two sunsets, two sunrises, a full activities day, and a morning of unhurried desert time. One night is possible but loses the second sunset, the full activities day, and the most relaxed version of the Sahara sunrise experience.

Can I do a Sahara Desert tour from Marrakech in 3 days?

Yes. The 3 day private Sahara tour from Marrakech covers the essential southern route and one desert camp night within three days. It suits travelers with limited time who specifically want the Sahara experience without a longer Morocco journey. However, 4 or 5 days provides a substantially more satisfying experience for most travelers.

Is the camel trek included?

Yes. A sunset camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes is included as standard on every Tilila Travel private Sahara Desert tour from Marrakech. The trek takes approximately 45 minutes on camelback and arrives at the desert camp as the sun approaches the dune horizon.

Is the Sahara tour private?

Yes. Every Tilila Travel Sahara Desert tour from Marrakech operates as a fully private journey. Your vehicle carries only your group throughout. There are no shared departures, no other travelers in your vehicle, and no group schedules to follow.

Can I customize my Sahara Desert tour?

Yes, entirely. Every element including the route, stops, accommodation, desert camp category, duration, and additional activities can be adjusted during the planning process. Contact us through the Tilila Travel contact page with your preferences and we build a personalized Sahara Desert tour itinerary accordingly.

What should I pack for the Sahara Desert?

Lightweight layers work across the temperature range of the route. A warm jacket is essential for desert camp nights in all seasons except summer. Sun protection and a wide brimmed hat are necessary for the desert sections. A headscarf protects against occasional sand and wind near the dunes. Comfortable walking shoes handle Ait Ben Haddou and the Todra Gorge better than sandals.

Is the Sahara tour suitable for families with children?

Yes. Children from approximately six years upward manage the camel trek without difficulty. Sandboarding is universally popular across all ages. The desert camp campfire and music session creates a shared family memory that stays with children far longer than any standard holiday experience.

My mom and I had an amazing 10-day tour of Morocco with Tilila Travel! From the initial planning to the end of our trip, the service was exceptional. Mohammed was incredibly responsive, accommodating, and helpful throughout the planning process, and provided us with a detailed itinerary that made everything seamless. Our driver, Abdel, was wonderful—professional, respectful, and always attentive to our needs. His positive attitude made the long drives between cities enjoyable, and we always felt safe and comfortable with him. Everything was extremely well organized, from hotel check-ins to the knowledgeable English-speaking guides in each city. We truly enjoyed our experience and would highly recommend Tilila Travel to anyone visiting Morocco!

We planned our adventure to Morocco just three weeks in advance and we knew that Mohamed/Tilila Travel was the way to go from the first email response we received. It was a weekend and Mohamed got right back to us! We asked so many questions and he answered every one so we felt confident about our itinerary, our packing list and everything! From the moment our driver, Yassin, picked us up at the Marrakech airport, we know we were in the best of hands! Yassin was such an experienced driver - he knew all of the different terrains and areas we passed through - he was a goldmine of knowledge, sharing with us so much information about the different areas and cultures. He was so thoughtful, making stops along the way to show us such neat things - like the wild monkeys, the argon oil area, the Berber rug factory, the gorge, every small detail enhanced our trip! We suggested a loose itinerary to Mohamed and planned the perfect trip for us, including beautiful and special riads and fascinating tours! The camel trip and overnight in the Sahara was absolutely incredible! Thanks to Mohamed and Yassin, we enjoyed the most wonderful journey through an amazing country! Yassin is the BEST and we made a lifelong friend in him - Mohamed too (even though we didn't get to meet him in person)!

We booked a 2 day private tour to the desert and had a great experience. The organization was smooth and everything went as planned. Both Mohamed, the manager, and Abdel, our guide, did an outstanding job! I fully recommend booking with Tilila Travel 👍🏻

My wife and I travelled in Morocco in early May. We used Tililia travel through a friend suggestion. The experience was wonderful. Our driver Yousef was terrific and was there from the start to the finish. He was there to pick us up from the airport, and drop us off at the end of the trip. We had plans and activities arranged every day and had the ability to make minor changes as deemed be necessary. The guides were good. We always felt safe and never had any issues communicating as everyone spoke English. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Morocco, and Tililia travel was a large part of the reason for a wonderful vacation. I would definitely recommend them for anyone visiting Morocco.

We just finished our tour yesterday. We love our tour guide, and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this tour. The tour has great balance among culture, nature, and historical sites. Our guide is super patient, kind, and attentive. He waited for our slow walking family members. When someone needs bathroom or water stop, he finds the clean roadside restaurants/shops. We have took guided tours in different countries. Our Morocco guide is head and shoulder above all the other tour guides we had before. Above was my trip in 2019. I just went again in March 2023. The tour is well organized. Itinerary was given to us in advance. There’s no surprise. Everything went smoothly. The driver was waiting for us at the airport. He drives the whole tour, polite, helpful, and always on time. The city guide in Fez was exceptional, she tailored tour to our specific interests. The cooking class arranged by Mohammed, the owner of Tilila Tour was amazing. Every time I make those dishes, I will be thinking about this trip. It was a great memory making trip.

I was connected with Tilila travels through Rough Guides. We worked with Mohamed , the owner, on the details and he accommodated all of our changes/request and were able to create a trip based on timing, budget, duration and things we wanted to see in Morocco. Communication prior and during the trip was excellent. Our trip started off with a guided tour of Marrakech with our guide, Ibrahim, who was fantastic - helped us find some off the grid souks and gave us a unique local perspective into Marrakech and its history that we would never have received on our own. I also was not feeling too hot and he made sure to check in and make stops when needed. Our driver, Mohamed (not the tour owner), for our 9 day road trip around Morocco, was a true superstar. He made our trip such an amazing adventure, paying attention to our likes and dislikes and really took care of us like family. All of our stops (Dades Gorge, Fes, Chefchaouen, Rabat, and Casablanca) were incredible to experience and the local city guides assigned to us took it to another level. The only exception was the Sahara desert camp which just wasn’t our cup of tea, but Mohamed the owner did address our feedback which was nice. Other than that, the whole trip was amazing and we would recommend Tilila to anyone looking to visit Morocco.

My husband and I took a 9-day tour of Morocco with Tilila Travel in April 2026. Our expectations were exceeded! The company is very professional and responsive, but most importantly they were there for us every time! We felt completely safe and cared for while we traveled across the beautiful country of Morocco. I have some mobility issues, and Tilila was great about making accommodations for me. They let me pick and choose activities, and they were able to shorten some things that were too hard for me. Accommodations were beautiful and some of them were really wonderful! All of them were comfortable and our needs were always met. When my husband was hit with a GI bug, our driver took us to a pharmacy where he was able to get antibiotics and felt better quickly! Speaking of drivers, Walid was the best! Kind, patient and the best driver I ever saw. Always available and treated us so well! We LOVED our trip and would always recommend Tilila Travel!

We had a fantastic experience on this trip and really enjoyed every part of it. The itinerary through Casablanca, Rabat, Chefchaouen, Fes, the Sahara, and Marrakech was very well planned, and everything ran smoothly. All the accommodations were exactly as described—comfortable, clean, and well located. A special mention for our driver, Ali, who was friendly, punctual, and very professional throughout. He made the long drives easy and was always accommodating. The Sahara experience was a highlight—the camel ride and ATV were especially memorable. For an 8-day trip, there is naturally quite a bit of driving involved. If we were to do it again, we might consider trimming one or two stops just to allow for a slightly more relaxed pace—but overall, the itinerary was very enjoyable and well put together. Overall, the service and execution were excellent. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a well-organized and memorable Morocco experience.
