Day-by-Day Itinerary Overview

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakesh

Welcome to Morocco! After arriving at Marrakech Menara Airport, you will meet our representative for a transfer to your Riad or Hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you can take a fresh walk during the old Marrakech medina, which is full of flavors, spices and traditional architecture.

Day 2: Marrakesh – Tizi N’tichka – Ait Ben Haddou- Ouarzazate

We will have a scenic drive through the high Atlas mountains along the superb Tizi N’tichka pass; there will be many opportunities to stop for pictures along the way.

Visit the world-famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous for its movies such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Continue to Ouarzazate which is often referred to as “gateway to the desert”.

Day 3: Ouarzazate – Skoura Oasis – Dades Valley

After breakfast, you can explore Taurirt Kasbah before you go to Skoura Oasis which is full of traditional palm trees and old Kasbahs. Drive through Rosedalen and now the magnificent Dades valley, which is famous for its spectacular cliffs and canyons, where we will stay overnight in a traditional Riyadh.

Day 4: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga Desert

Drive to the imposing Todra Gorge where we will have the opportunity for a scenic trip on the river. Continue on to Erg Chebbi Dunes in Merzouga which is your gateway to your own magnificent Sahara, ride camels over golden dunes to your desert camp.

Day 5: The whole day in the Sahara desert

Wake up early to see the spectacular Sahara sole. After breakfast, you can enjoy activities such as sandboarding, a visit to the village of Khamliya (home to the Gnawa musicians) or 4×4 desert exploration. Camp in Merzouga or return to your riad for relaxation and local food.

Day 6: Merzouga – Risani – Agdiz

After breakfast you can visit the traditional market in Risani, known for its spices, crafts and and fossils. Travel through beautiful desert landscapes and stop in Agdz, a peaceful town along the Draa Valley, lined with palm groves and ancient kasbahs.

Day 7: Agdz – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Return via the Anti-Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ouarzazate for optional visits to film studios or local markets. Cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass again and arrive in Marrakech by evening.

Day 8: Marrakech City Tour & Departure

Spend your final day exploring Marrakech with a guided city tour. Visit the Majorelle Garden, Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, and the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa Square. Enjoy some free time before your transfer to the airport, ending your 8-day Moroccan adventure.
