Marrakech Desert Trip

My wife and I had an excellent time on this trip. Kareem and Hamad were very fun to travel with and the blue city was gorgeous.

The highlight of our trip to Morocco, partly because of what we saw and mostly because Muhammad, our guide, was amazing. Within five minutes of knowing him, you feel as if you are traveling with a family member. He knows where to take you, but he is also open to hearing about what you want to see - and he will adapt the itinerary to make sure your day is exactly how you want it to be. About the trip: Muhammad took us to the beautiful Ourika Valley where we took a short hike along the water, walked through a small Berber area, sat beside a small waterfall for tea and stopped for a nice lunch beside the creek. Muhammad took us to a Berber collective to browse rugs that come in from various regions in the Atlas Mountains. Along the way we learned about his family, talked to them on the phone and learned about his life before he moved to Marrakech, when he lived in a nomadic camp in the Sahara desert. Although they moved into a home some time ago, they (and he) have retained the qualities of hospitality and adventure that make him such an impressive guide. Don’t miss the chance to see Morocco with him.

We had the most amazing day with Muhammad. He is adorable, smart, sweet, cool, curious so pleasant to be around and sooo accommodating. And also really witty! We didn’t want to end the trip and booked him for another day. Highly recommended. We had the goal of hitting the Ourika Valky but also really wanted to shop for rugs and learn about morrocan tile. He helped us to accomplish it all! Seriously you won’t regret.

We were three adults with three college aged children. Our tour of Morocco with Tlila Travel went smoothly. They managed to find various places that were interesting to all of us. Hotels are clean and comfortable. Our tour guide is kind, patient, good humor, and well organized. I’m very impressed by their efficiency. I highly recommend their services!
